Artist Biography:

When you view the paintings of Laura-Marie Small, you immediately pick up on the positive attitude which is so evident in her personality. Laura-Marie is an oil painter and member of the Arts Collaborative of Wakefield, who studied visual and performing arts, as well as fashion design. Her graduate degree is in art education. Her paintings express great emotion and her love of color and texture, and she describes her work as being influenced by styles and genres of the past.

Her enthusiasm for art spills over into her studio for children on Albion Street called Kidcasso. Now five years old, Kidcasso is a place where children create original artwork and experience growth, change and self discovery. Laura-Marie and her staff offer classes for children year-round, as well as some evening workshops for adults.
