Studio 7 Musings
Artist Statement:
Studio 7 artists work in combinations of many mediums to create and eclectic assortment of collages, assemblages, photographs/digital photographs, sculpture, artist’s books, paintings and fiber art.
Their work has been exhibited in many local, regional and national shows including past shows at the DeCordova Museum, Concord Art Association, Attleboro and Fitchburg Art Museums, Lexington Arts and Crafts Society, Cary Memorial Library, Bedford and Carlisle Libraries, Munroe Center for the Arts, Emerson Umbrella, Cambridge Art Association and the National collage show at Montserrat College.
Artist Biography:
Studio 7 is a collaborative group of 14 talented multi-media women artists who have been working and exhibiting together for many years under the mentoring of local artist and long-time educator, Sally Santosuosso. Members reside in Lexington or in various surrounding communities.
Studio 7 members volunteer regularly in a variety of church and civic programs, using their talents to increase the visibility of art within their communities through educational projects or through committees to facilitate problem solving, change or healing. Members participate in Art Walks and Open Studios and Arts Councils in Lexington, Bedford, and Concord.
