Artist Statement
While visiting the DeCordova library, I found Agnes Martin’s book. There I read, “An Artist is the one who can fail and fail and still go on”. It was the greatest inspiration for me and I realized that art is a process that once started can never be finished; the works encouraged and reaffirmed my creative journey.
A few years ago I took an art class in China and Japan that enabled me to grasp the values of a culture so rich with a history I had not been exposed to in the past. The peace that I was looking for arrived quietly and unexpectedly; Ink Gardening. In progress…
