In the Piper Gallery during June . . .

Gillian Ross, Elizabeth Carter, Rani Sarin and Deborah Read Belguendouz Quattro: a visual conversation
Artist Statement
These four women have exhibited work together in the past at Depot Square Gallery, Lexington, MA and other galleries in the Boston area. They are all presently members of Depot Square Artists Inc.
The question this exhibit asks is: “What is a visual conversation?”
The four artists invite you to see the dialogue evolving between them, and to consider what is the difference between communicating with forms, colors and marks, versus words?
What is left unsaid? What is perhaps communicated better – or worse? If it is unsaid, non-conceptual, how does it ‘speak’ to you? How are these four women communicating with the viewer and with each other? Does each one use their own unique visual ‘language’, yet communicate well with the other nontheless?
These are some of the issues that the viewer will be challenged with whilst wandering through the Piper Gallery in June.
Artist Biography
This art exhibit centers on the concept of a ‘conversation’, and how it can be made manifest in a visual form between four local artists: Elizabeth Carter, Rani Sarin, Gillian Ross and Deborah Read Belguendouz.
