Gabriele Stewart
Color, Design & Mixed Media

Artist Statement

I love working with color and line. My tools include brushes, palette knife, credit cards, my gloved fingers, fabric, and popsicle sticks.

My medium is acrylic paint, charcoal, Neocolors and Neopastels by Caran D’Ache. I like to work on canvas.

I start my paintings with line, either a design or just random marks. Then I add mostly pure color right out of the tube. I follow the design and fill in or follow my shim, adding and subtracting, scratching and drawing with Crayons.

I like to edit my work in photoshop.
