How to get a library card
A prospective borrower may apply for a library card at Cary Memorial Library or the East Lexington Branch Library.

Adults
Download and fill out a Minuteman Uniform Registration Application before coming to the library. Apply in person by presenting this application and two pieces of identification bearing name and address. Your card will be issued immediately and can be used the same day at any Minuteman Library. Cards are not issued online.
There is no charge for your first library card. There is, however, a charge for replacement cards.
Children
Children over the age of 5 and through 5th grade may apply for a library card.
A child must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. The parent or guardian must have identification listing his or her name and address.

Personal Identification Numbers (PIN)
A PIN may be obtained in person or by phone. It allows you to access your borrower's account through the MLN website. The address of the MLN website is www.mln.lib.ma.us.
A PIN is a means for a borrower to access his or her own library record to
- Determine what items are currently charged out
- Renew items
- Determine what fines are owed
- Determine what reserves have been placed by the borrower
- Change PINs
