Borrower > Borrowing and Returning Items

• Present your MLN library card to borrow items from Cary Memorial Library, the East Lexington Branch Library, or from any other MLN library. (Massachusetts residents who live outside the MLN area may use their hometown library cards at MLN libraries.)

• Items not available within the Minuteman Library Network may be requested from another library through Network Transfer or Interlibrary Loan (ILL).

• Each borrower is responsible for the return of the materials checked out on his or her own card. Returns may be made at the Circulation Desks of the main library or the East Lexington Branch, in the book drops of the main library or the East Lexington Branch, or at any Minuteman library.

• Items kept beyond the due date incur fines. Fines for overdue materials will be attached to the borrower's record. Accumulated fines may affect the patron's ability to borrow material.

• Book Drop Returns: All materials may be returned 24 hours a day in the book drops located near the front and rear entrances of Cary Memorial Library. At the East Lexington Branch Library a drop slot is provided at the front door. Items may be returned in it at any time.
