BLAST OFF ON THE STARSHIP ADVENTURE! - all ages
Our goal is to motivate all Lexington children to read by themselves or with their families for at least 15 minutes, every day this summer. Each time a child completes 600 minutes (that’s 10 hours) of reading, he or she may choose a small prize. Sign up in the Children’s Room beginning June 8.
  • Sign up beginning: June 8
  • Reading ends: September 1
  • Last day to choose prizes: September 30
Download a log [pdf] to keep track of the time you spend reading or being read to.

Heifer International “Read to Feed” Challenge
For every 10 hours read, the Friends of Cary Memorial Library will donate 10˘ towards the purchase of a pig, a sheep, or flock of chicks, ducklings, and goslings for a needy family in a third world country.
