Build a Better World with
MINECRAFT ...................................................................ENTERING GR 3-5

Grab a pickaxe and join us for a Minecraft class in design challenges. Learn the fundamentals of electrical engineering using Redstone, a special element that mimics electricity almost perfectly. As you master your Redstone skills, you'll learn key concepts in programming, architecture, and pixel art, all while using teamwork and social skills! All students must play in "creative mode" and must follow our rules of respect.
Attendance is limited.** Sign up online (carylibrary.org) beginning Monday, June 5 at 7:00 pm. Phone reservations begin at 7:30 pm.

Join Kids Cooking Green for this special class held at the Lexington Farmer's Market. Tour the market, taste what is local and delicious, and explore how farmers can help us Build a Better World! Class meets at the market - rain or shine!

SCIENCE MAGIC............................................ENTERING GRADES 2-6

Join the Museum of Science for a special program investigating the science behind magic tricks! You might learn how to snatch a tablecloth without disturbing the items on top, make a balloon fireproof, use electromagnetism to defy gravity, and more!

Flora, Fauna, and Merriweather hope the noise of seven small miners will help break the spell before the Prince shows up for his birthday party! Audience participation will help sort this out!

Join Jungle Jim as he leads you through the magical world of Minecraft! Combining balloon artistry, magic, comedy, and improv, Jim creates an amazing experience for children. Activities include the Building Block Madness Tournament, a riveting Zombie Chase, the Balloon Firework Rocket extravaganza, & the incredible giant slime-ball creation.

Amazing things happen when matter changes temperature! With the help of an educator from the Museum of Science and an intensely cold liquid, participants experience the remarkable changes in size, form, and behavior that occur when a variety of objects and substances are super-cold. *Latex balloons are used in this program

Awesome Robb’s
SUPERHERO SHOW!.........................................................AGES 3 & UP

Come dressed as your favorite super hero for this extra special show! Awesome Robb becomes Captain Awesome for this one-of-a-kind performance. Captain Awesome will show off his super powers by juggling clubs, balls, and rings. He will test his mental powers by reading someone's mind. He will perform other amazing feats of Super Human Magic!

Come take a trip around the world and explore the diverse habitats of our planet and the animals that live within them. See why some animals are well-suited for certain areas and why some are not. Learn how we can Build A Better World for animals! This is a live animal show.

** If fewer than 5 children are registered, program may be cancelled.
† Everyone must have a ticket to enter the program. Reserved tickets must be picked up at least 15 minutes prior to the start of the program. Unclaimed tickets will be given to those waiting. Parking can be a problem when we have large events, so please plan ahead.
