Join us for our next installment of Science Cafe! Internationally known atmospheric scientist Kerry Emanuel of MIT will be our special guest. Professor Emanuel will discuss his research on storm formation and how it relates to climate.
Professor Emanuel is the author of several books on climate, including What We Know About Climate Change
(MIT Press, 2012), which The New York Times called "the single best thing written about climate change for a general audience." He was also selected as one of Time Magazine's 100 most influential people of 2006 for his insights about Hurricane Katrina.
Seating for this event will be first come, first served. When our Large Meeting Room is filled, we will invite you to watch and listen using the screens in our Commons area on the main floor.
Science Cafe@ Cary Library is generously funded by the Cary Memorial Library Foundation. The library is also indebted to Dr. Jagesh Shah, Associate Professor of Systems Biology at Harvard University, for serving as moderator for our Science Cafe series.
