| Description |
Eli Robbins house, corner Massachusetts Avenue and Pleasant Street.
"I presume Eli Robbins built this house at about the time of his marriage in 1809. It was quite close to the street with the usual iron fence in front. It was moved back when Follen Road was built in 1914. You will recall that the ancient Pleasant Street came from the Peacock Farm on Watertown Street to the Blacksmith shop. When the present Pleasant Street was built it passed through Mr. Wilson's land, along the back of the Charles Brown house and came out on the Avenue just above the brook." |
