| Description |
Jones family house, Massachusetts Avenue between Pleasant Street and the old Adams School. "This is the second house above the Eli Robbins house and was permitted to remain when Follen Road was built. I recall a colored family named Jones lived there. There was a daughter Susie. Susie's father worked for a caterer and I shall never forget Susie's birthday party. We all went and all the expected caterer's goodies were provided and how we kids did eat. We drew no color line when confronted with that spread!" |
