Description
Bowman House off Watertown Street, 1890. "Here in this fine old colonial home grew up one of Lexington's most important families up to 1800. The house was very old, having been built about 1675. It was located on what is now the Concord Highway about 300 feet east of Watertown Street. It burned in 1905 and not a stone remains to mark the spot. Some of you can recall the last member of the family, Mrs. Sarah Bowman Van Ness."
