"I know little about the history of the house on the left. Mary Donovan lived there in my time and later Harry Alderman. I do know that one of the earlier occupants was a good sport. Having lost an election bet he had to wheel a barrel of oysters from Boston to Providence, 50 miles. Somewhere I have a picture of him about to start off on that trip." |
