Follen Church, 1885.
"Here is another picture showing how Follen Church looked in 1885. Mr. Edward Wood lived in half of the double house and carried on a considerable florists business. He was born in England in 1852 and came to Lexington in 1883. Many of you know that Mr. Wood is still living [1940] and works every day in Henry Jackson's greenhouses. Surely you will remember him when I recall that (he) always attends town meetings and occupies a front seat. Pretty good record at 88." |
