Description
Muzzey mansion (before it became Keeley Institute), front view. "I have spoken of this but thought you might like a picture of it [Muzzey mansion] as it looked before it was remodeled by the proprietors of the Keeley Institute. It would be interesting to know how many sleighing parties Mr. Muzzey accommodated in a good season. And I would like to know whatever became of those beautiful boat-sleighs. We had weeks of fine sleighing and in the evening there would be many of these great four-horse sleighs with the gay occupants passing up and down the main street. Most of them stopped at Mr. Muzzey's and the old building rang with joy and laughter. Quite naturally, the house was a mecca for local parties as well and the old building held tender memories for many a young couple."
