Plumer House (demolished), 1925.
"The Plumer House has no special significance but was a landmark on the Avenue for a hundred years. The house was built about 1803 and stood on the site of the Cary Memorial Building. In the Plumer House were incorporated some of the timbers from Parson Estabrook's house which the villagers built for their Minister in 1696, and which stood about where the boiler room of the Cary Memorial Building is located. This picture was taken about 1925." |
