"This view of the Tavern was taken April 19, 1875 and as far as the building is concerned it looks much as it does today. Apparently the Munroe family and the hired men have been cleaning up the yard for the holiday. I wish it were possible to identify the men. The real value of this view is to show Munroe Hill with not a road or single house built upon it."
