Drawing of Follen Church and Stone Building, 1850.
"This is a picture of the Stone Building and Follen Church as they looked about 1850. Eli Robbins built the Stone Building in 1833 as a public hall. Now, due to the generosity of Miss (Ellen) Stone, it is the property of the Town and used as the Branch Library.
The Follen Church was built in 1839. Notice the difference in the steeple. In the distance is the Gammell House on Oak Street, some 500 feet beyond the Nichols' homestead." |
