The "old chaise" in front of the Charles Hudson residence, during an April 19 parade.
"The old chaise had belonged to Dr. Holmes and after the death of Frank it was given to the Lexington Historical Society. It appeared in our 19th April parades for some years. It was kept in the carriage house at the Nichols residence on Oak Street. Boys broke in and got it out and smashed it up.
In the chaise are Dr. Tilton and H. G. Locke (white hat). Standing left to right Miss Alice Harrington, Miss Bessie Muzzey, two unknown ladies, Edward W. Taylor. The house is the Charles Hudson residence which stood next above the Hancock Church (now on Belfry Terrace) and to the right the Glidden house."
