Description 
Adams Grammar School students, 1883. "This is the whole of the grammar school. Silas Peabody was the principal. He was also the janitor of the building and received $75 a year for those services. Times certainly have changed. I cannot name all the scholars, but I am sure some one here will recognize every face. STANDING across the back, left to right: 1. blank, 2. blank, 3. Moakley, 4.
