Plan of the Town of Lexington, 1793. Attributed to Samual Thompson, Surveyor.
Includes the following note:
"In 1793, following an Act of the Legislature requiring all towns to be surveyed and the plan filed at the State House, this plan of Lexington was made. It is the earliest map of the Town. Unfortunately Lexington must have felt that all it could afford was a map giving the bounds of the town and the main road whereas some of the town maps of that time are much more complete. Presumably but one map to be filed, as required, of which this is a copy. [Edwin B. Worthen]"
