Folder: LEXINGTON SAVINGS BANK
Lexington Savings Bank. Photographs and negatives of Lexington Savings Bank at 1776 Massachusetts Avenue in Lexington Center.
In the photographs, the building is three stories tall. The Lexington Savings Bank occupied a room on the second floor from May 1904 until March 1919, where a photograph shows Edwin B. Worthen behind his desk. He worked here for many years and became the treasurer in 1909. There are some photographs detailing the reconstruction of the facade in the 1940's. Some of the exterior photographs show the back of the bank and the businesses that were located in what is now the parking lot, such as Brigham's. Later images show the removal of the third floor in 1960.
