Samuel Chandler House, corner of Massachusetts Avenue and Depot Square.
Photograph shows the Samuel Chandler House that was built prior to 1845 and stood on the site of Mr. Ernest C. Martin's Drug Store. Later Charles H. Rankin occupied the site.
The photograph is dated April 19, 1890, and is decorated in a patriotic manner with flags and bunting for the occasion. There are a number of important men standing on the porch and in from of the house, including the chief, Charles H. Franks.
