Buckman Tavern, One Bedford Street.
Photographs and negatives show the national historic landmark, significant in the Battle of Lexington and the Revolutionary War. The building faces Lexington Common.
A portion of the tavern was originally built around 1710 by Muzzey family. The tavern is known as the headquarters of the Minute Men as they awaited the British troops on April 19, 1775.
Exterior shots, all seasons including snow in winter. Photos show grounds, trees, with and without the wooden fence. At least one is hand-colored. They are taken from many different angles; however, most show the front of the house with the small attached structure. There are a few rear views from 1939.
