Battle of Lexington 150th anniversary (1925) commemorative medals. Housed in original black leather boxes (each in a white cardboard box). 3 in. diameter.
Face side of coin: "To commemorate the one hundred and fiftieth anniversary of the Battle of Lexington 1775-1925" with side view of Minuteman statue. Reverse of coin: "Battle of Lexington April 19, 1775" showing a scene from the Battle Green.
Handwritten note: "This is the rare and costly Special Commemorative Medal which was struck in 1925 and given to V.I.P invited guests at the April 19th 150th Anniversary Celebration, Lexington."
