Description	Hand-carved, brown wooden bear approximately 4 x 5.5 in. attributed to Carrie L. Blake (initials C.L.B. on bottom of left front paw). Handwritten note: "Given by Miss Blake to Edwin B. Worthen. Carrie Blake taught Manual Training. She was Principal at Adams School Lex. Died 1947." (Cataloger's note: See Handicrafts of New England by Allen H. Eaton, which includes a paragraph about Carrie Blake on pp. 183-184, as well as a photograph of three bears in plate 86.)
