| Framed watercolor painting in memory of Sarah Clark, designed by John Dix and presented to Peter Clark, October 28, 1800. Framed.
The inscription on the memorial reads "Sacred to the memory of Mrs. Sarah Clark." On the back of the frame is a handwritten label, "Given us by Mrs. Dane, Summer 1964." The handwriting may be attributed to either Edwin B. Worthen, Jr. or Anita Worthen.
(Cataloger's note: According to Records of the descendants of Hugh Clark: of Watertown, Mass. 1640-1866, by John Clark, 61. PETER CLARK m. Jan. 29,1796, SARAH GRANT, dau. of Christopher Grant, of Watertown. She died Jan. 1, 1800, ae. 30, and he m. (2d) May 29, 1803, REBECCA PARKER, of Lexington, dau. of Capt. John and Lydia (Moore) Parker. She died Jan. 10, 1851, ae. 82. He lived in that part of Watertown which is now Belmont, and died May 2, 1859, ae. 90.)
