Artifacts, Souvenirs & Art
The Worthen Collection includes objects
dating from the 1700s to the 1970s. The Worthens collected medals, pins,
coins, buttons, badges and commemorative items associated with April 19th
and other Lexington celebrations, as well as with their participation in
numerous local committees and organizations.
The collection also includes some reproductions of posters, prints and
paintings, and several of Mr. Worthen Jr.'s architectural sketches, plans
and drawings for Lexington Center improvements, Munroe Tavern restoration
and proposed memorials and signs.
