Norris Block on Massachusetts Avenue, 1911. "Norris Block. Built by John L. Norris in 1871 [3 or 4?] He and his family lived in it until the Savings Bank Building was built. The Grand Army and Womens Relief Corps met in a hall on the 3rd floor at the upper corner. Picture taken about 1911. Tenants: Wood Brothers & Sousa, expressing. George W. Day, plumber. Lester E. Smith, meat and provisions. Lowering of first floor, later."
