Description Frank Holmes residence, lower corner Massachusetts Avenue and Waltham Street.

"Have not the exact date of this house - about 1800. Dr. Holmes lived here many years. We recall it as residence of his children Miss Sadie Holmes and Frank. At back is the barn, used 1924 until 1938 as our Post Office. Frank built out the front to the street line and it became the "day-light store." Torn down 1925 when Aldrich block was built. Political posters."
