Minuteman Statue. Postcards, photographs and negatives of Minuteman Statue by Henry H. Kitson.

The statue is of Captain John Parker, commander of the minute men on Lexington Common, during the Battle of Lexington on Lexington Common on April 19, 1775. It was given to the Town of Lexington by Francis Brown Hayes and erected in 1899 to commemorate the minute men who served in this early battle of the Revolutionary War.
