Abstract Letter, typewritten copy, 4 pages, made from a letter from Miss Betty Clarke to her niece, Mrs. Lucy Ware Allen of Northboro, original was date April 19, 1841. Letter recounts memories of some events of the Battle of Lexington.

Copier's note included after body of letter: "The writer of this letter, Miss Elizabeth Clarke (commonly called Betty) was the second daughter of Rev. Jonas Clarke of Lexington. Mr. Clarke's oldest daughter Mary married Rev. Henry Ware of Cambridge. This letter is written to their daughter Mrs. Lucy Ware Allen, wife of Rev. Dr. Joseph Allen, for many years pastor of the old First Church in Northboro."
