Collection Edwin B. Worthen Collection
Date 1963
Abstract Letter, handwritten, dated April 27, 1963, from Edwin B. Worthen, "Historian", to Miss Alison Arnold, Society Editor, Boston Herald. The letter states that Miss Arnold's column about the social aspects of Patriot's Day incorrectly attributed the origins of Patriot's Day to Concord. The letter, written in pencil, includes a striked-out but legible line stating, "Perhaps your interest in social events have blinded you to the facts of history", and a numbered list of historical accounts which counter Miss Arnold's alleged claims in her column.
