Abstract Manuscript, taken as photostatic copy, of "A Biographical Sketch of CAPTAIN OLIVER BROWN, and officer of the REVOLUTIONARY ARMY, who commanded the party which destroyed the STATUE OF GEORGE THE THIRD, in New York City, July 9, 1776."

The original manuscript was written by Rev. Horace Edwin Hayden of the Historical Society of Pennsylvania in 1882. 8 pages. Included in a letter from Charles McGlumphy to Edwin B. Worthen in 1956 (see Worthen.18.09.02).
