Edwin B. Worthen's notes describe an article on carvers of gravestones in New England. Samuel Green's headstone in Lexington is attributed to carver Moses Worcester. The stone is later attributed to John Worchester, a carver from the Lexington and Concord area, who has a style which differs from that of other New England (or European) carvers.
