Abstract Insurance against fire for Stephen Robbins, January 2, 1826

An insurance policy against fire taken out by Mr. Stephen Robbins of Lexington. Robbins paid $11.35 to be insured for one year up to $2500 "on any loss or damage which shall, or may happen by fire, originating in any cause, (except invasion, public enemies, riots, civil commotion, or military or usurped power)."

Includes a handwritten description of the properties insured with values attached to each item.
