Insulation Construction and Closures

Dear Cary Library Users,

Orange construction cone for Cary Memorial Library in Lexington, MABeginning on Monday, March 5, multiple areas on the main level of the Cary Library will be under construction. The purpose of the work is to add insulation to prevent sprinkler pipes from freezing as they did in January of this year.

Study rooms and tables along the parking lot side of the building will be offline, as will the study room and tables along the windows in the World Language area.

Most of the construction will take place during nighttime hours when the library is closed. However, the library will be closed for several days beginning Saturday, March 24. We plan to re-open sometime in the afternoon of Thursday, March 29. Please check the library website, phone line, or social media sites for updates.

During the closure (March 24 - March 29) late fees will be waived. Reserved materials will be held for an extended time to give patrons time to pick up reserves after the library re-opens on March 29.

We apologize for the inconvenience,

Koren Stembridge
Library Director
