The library offers opportunities for teen volunteers year-round. Most volunteer activities involve helping out at public events such as the Fairy Tale Ball. Some volunteer jobs include quiet activities like preparing materials for children’s crafts. You may earn community service credit for your work at the library, but please check your community service requirements first.
All library volunteers must be at least high school age. We work with volunteers from any high school, including homeschool students who are of high school age.
Students interested in volunteering at the Library must attend an orientation session. Registration is not required for any of the orientation sessions.
Orientation sessions for 2017-2018 academic year will be held from 6:00 - 6:30 p.m. in the Teen Room on the following dates:
- Wednesday, September 27, 2017
- Wednesday, February 28, 2018
- Wednesday, June 13, 2018
At the orientation, you will learn how to sign up to volunteer using a program called Sign Up Genius. You must provide us with your email address to be notified of volunteer opportunities.
