We expect to have some preliminary information to share soon after the Governor's Back to Work Task Force issues guidance the week of May 18, 2020.

Pausing work on our Children’s Room Project (ChiRP!)

On May 6, 2020 the Library Board of Trustees voted to “pause” work on our Children’s Room Project (ChiRP!) while our community focuses on the effects and after-effects of the COVID-19 Pandemic.  A discussion about when to resume work on the ChiRP! Library Closing Extended to May 18

Since Governor Baker has extended the stay-at-home advisory until May 18, the library will remain closed until that date. Any decisions about reopening the building and resuming in-person services will be made with state guidelines in mind, as well as input and guidance from town officials. Library closed until at least May 4

At this time Cary Library remains closed indefinitely. Per the advice of Lexington Public Health and town leadership, the library will not open until at least May 4. Please check back for updates over the next couple of weeks. Library staff are doing their best to answer your questions and provide services virtually.  We wish everyone good health.

The Library will remain closed through at least April 6, 2020.  Library staff are currently working from home. Any materials you have returned through our book drops have not yet been checked in. When staff are cleared to return to work, these materials will be checked in and any fines will be waived.  Our Youth Services team is beginning to offer some live children's programs on social media this week. Library to Remain Closed until April 6.

The Library will remain closed through at least April 6, 2020. In addition, we are cancelling all library programs and public meetings through the end of April 2020. We hope that library programs and public meetings will resume in early May. The Library's popular Fairy Tale Ball will be rescheduled for later this year.
